KOLKATA: Around 65 state-run faculties in West Bengal will introduce English medium teaching at primary and secondary ranges from the next instructional session, a senior govt legit said here on Friday.
Of the 65 faculties, 44 are in primary segment and 21 within the secondary segment, the legit said.
Education minister Partha Chatterjee had said previous this month, the state-run govt faculties will be offering English primarily based schooling from the next instructional yr beginning March/April 2019, to profit students.
While English medium schooling will get started in 50-60 state-run faculties to start with in Kolkata and other districts of West Bengal, the federal government will introduce English teaching in other state-run faculties progressively, Chatterjee had said.
