COIMBATORE: A con lady was once arrested on Wednesday for duping a minimum of 23 youths of a complete of Rs 80 lakh by way of promising them to get jobs abroad.

The arrested was once identified as Nagamai, a resident of Kannapa Nagar in the town. Police have recovered from her passports of 18 other folks.


According to a police officer, Nagamai, in conjunction with her son Prabhakaran, was once working Vinsters International Logistics Pvt Ltd at KK Pudur in Saibaba Colony. The duo had recruited Vidhya Sri as the senior supervisor of the company.


The trio advertised that they would supply process alternatives in overseas nations similar to Singapore, America and Ireland. Seeing the commercial, J Melvin Jhones approached them and paid them Rs three.54 lakh.


“The company gave him an appointment letter, but he discovered it to be fake after verifying it on on-line. He said 23 other folks had paid them anyplace between Rs 2 lakh and Rs three.5 lakh, in conjunction with submitting their passports.
