71% swine flu cases surfaced in only five districts last year

JAIPUR : Swine flu virus behaved weirdly ultimate year as parts of state remained virtually unaffected, whilst other parts witnessed outbreaks of the disease.
In the state, 71% of instances of swine flu were reported in only five districts— Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Baran and Udaipur in 2018. However, Sriganganagar is the only district in the state which has no longer reported even a single case of swine flu and demise related to the disease in 2018.



Chief scientific health officer (Sriganganagar) Dr Naresh Bansal mentioned, “There were two suspected instances of swine flu reported in the district however they were examined damaging for swine flu from laboratory in Bikaner’s Government Medical College. Sriganganagar remained loose from swine flu during the year.” Since Rajasthan is the most important state of the country, many of the parts of the state remained virtually negligible swine flu instances, whilst others were badly affected. Swine flu has emerged as a big health issue in Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Baran and Udaipur. The five districts collectively reported 113 swine flu deaths, which are more than 51% of overall deaths reported in all of the state due to swine flu.


In the state, 2375 persons were examined positive for swine flu in 2018 and 221 persons died in the similar length. According to a health department report, Jaipur remained worst affected, which reported 43% of overall persons examined positive for swine flu instances. Kota was once at the second spot with 18% of overall instances, Jodhpur at 3rd place with 9%, Udaipur reported 5% of overall swine flu instances, whilst each and every of Baran, Ajmer, Bundi, Jhalawar and Alwar reported 3% of swine flu instances reported in the state in 2018.


However, each and every of the four districts — Pali, Dausa, Sikar and Tonk witnessed 2% of overall swine flu instances reported ultimate year. The districts which were no longer a lot affected were Bikaner, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Jaisalmer, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur and Banswara which collectively reported 33 instances of swine flu in the state. Following five deaths due to swine flu in six days, state is on top alert on swine flu.
