BENGALURU: Despite several efforts by the federal government and colleges to reduce the load of homework, over 74.three% of Indian teachers still use “home assignments” as a top instrument to evaluate students in each lesson, says the latest National Achievement Survey file for Classes three, 5, and 8.
Only 24.three% of teachers rely on project-based or experiential studying to evaluate students, the survey, which covered govt and personal colleges across the nation, found.
Rajasthan (93%), Himachal Pradesh (92%), Haryana (92%) and Uttarakhand (91%) led the list of states the place teachers nearly totally assess students on the foundation of homework.

The survey findings are worrying, stated Nirajan Aaradhya VP, fellow at Centre for Child and Law at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU). “This is because there is not any proper plan to put in force the National Curriculum Framework which talks concerning the conception of knowledge in numerous tactics. We want more experiential studying, with the already available knowledge with kids and methodology of teaching.”

MHRD order on college luggage
