PUNE: Nikhil Londhe began coding in Standard VI. His love for computers persevered and he opted for computer science in engineering.
A school topper from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Londhe handed out in May 2018. He is making ready for upper studies and has over eight apps to his name, of which two have above 1 lakh downloads on the Google Play Store.
“I began with fundamental coding, corresponding to internet designing, in class. In my 2nd year of engineering, my instructor, Sonali Patil, told us to do a venture. Android telephones had been a significant thing and I determined to make an app. One thing ended in every other and till now, I have made eight apps in Playstore,” said Londhe, a Savitribai Phule Pune University topper in his 2nd year and ranked 8th within the university this year.
After making apps for amusing, Londhe thought of making apps to help society. “I used to be in my third year at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering once I learned virtually all folks had cellphones and used them for chatting or gaming, now not everyone understood their true doable. A just right app can make even the most tiresome process easy. From paying electrical energy invoice to booking fuel cylinder replenish, the entirety will also be simplified via an app,” said Londhe.
Londhe began making apps with the choice of Marathi language in them. “Maharashtra Website Directory, with over 50,000 downloads, has a database of almost all websites used in Maharashtra. The Gas Booking App has over one lakh downloads and so does the Vehicle Owner Details App. I keep updating them,” said Londhe.
“He is a brilliant student. He opted towards sitting for placements. He desires to pursue upper studies. Marks are at all times vital, but scholars should try to go beyond academics,” said Shitalkumar Rawandale, coaching and placement officer at PCCoE.
