Palanpur: The Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd, better referred to as Banas Dairy, has decided to hike milk procurement costs for its contributors from Banaskantha and a part of Patan district through Rs10 in step with kg fat from February 1.

“The hike in procurement charge will inspire the milk manufacturer to take better care in their animals and provide better quality milk. This will probably be further help to the farmer facing water scarcity due to scanty rainfall in Banaskantha and Patan,” said Banas Dairy chairman Shankar Chaudhary.

The day by day procurement of Banas Dairy is over 60 lakh litre in step with day from its three.5 lakh contributors.
