NEW DELHI: Finance minister Arun Jaitley stated on Thursday business banks have been prone to get well Rs 70,000 crore ($nine.95 billion) of dangerous loans through the end of March, helped through resolution of 12 huge cases.
Some of the large cases such as Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd and Essar Steel India Ltd are in complex stages of resolution, and are likely to be resolved in this monetary year, Jaitley stated in a blog post on Facebook.
Lenders have to this point recovered Rs 80,000 crore from the resolution of 66 cases, he added.
