HISAR: Three days after police booked a most important and 3 academics of a school on the grievance of a Class IX girl, who had accused the four of pressuring her and more youthful brother of fixing their faith and of sexual harassment, law enforcement officials discovered that the girl had lodged a false grievance after the college had asked her brother, a student of Class VIII in same college, to get a haircut.
The girl’s family had a tussle with the college over the problem after which she had lodged a grievance with the police.
Sirsa police stated on January 25, a case used to be registered towards the college most important and 3 academics under Section 297 (insulting the religion of any person), 506 (legal intimidation), 34 (common intention) of the IPC and Section 12 (sexual harassment) of the Pocso Act.
In her grievance, she had claimed the college used to be forcing the siblings to leave Hinduism and adopt Christianity. She had also alleged that the college had threatened to kill them if they complained about the case. When the girl and her brother did not budge, they were expelled from the college, she had added in her grievance.
DSP Kishori Lal stated the case used to be discovered to be false throughout the investigation. The statement of the complainant girl have been recorded in the court of ilaqa Justice of the Peace under Section 164 of CrPC in which she had stated that the college management had pressurized her brother, who used to keep long hair, to get a haircut. Following this, there used to be a dispute between her family and the college management and he or she had lodged a grievance.
The DSP stated the method to brush aside the case towards college academics has been initiated.
