Coimbatore: As many as 13 other people lost their lives in more than a few street injuries here in a span of 24 hours.
Three migrant labourers were killed after a truck hit their bike on Seraiyampalayam-Arasur Road on Monday night time. A Kulandaivel, 80, his son K Kanagaraj, 44, and Thangaraj of Devanapuram were chatting when bike rider K Premkumar of Devanapuram lost control over the vehicle and rammed into Kulandaivel and Kanagaraj. Both of them suffered serious accidents. Kulandaivel died without responding to the remedy on Sunday evening. Kanagaraj died on Monday.
In the 5th incident, Rajan, 50, of Venkittapuram on Thadagam Road and his buddy Moorthy, 40, of Neelambur, lost their lives in an twist of fate on Trichy Road at Karaiyampalayam Pirivu on Sunday evening.
