13 killed in road accidents within 24-hour period

Coimbatore: As many as 13 other people lost their lives in more than a few street injuries here in a span of 24 hours.
Three migrant labourers were killed after a truck hit their bike on Seraiyampalayam-Arasur Road on Monday night time. The Kovilpalayam police recognized one in every of them as V Samir Basha, 30, from West Bengal. “All of them died on the spot. We are yet to spot two of them. A Kulandaivel, 80, his son K Kanagaraj, 44, and Thangaraj of Devanapuram were chatting when bike rider K Premkumar of Devanapuram lost control over the vehicle and rammed into Kulandaivel and Kanagaraj. Both of them suffered serious accidents. Kulandaivel died without responding to the remedy on Sunday evening. Kanagaraj died on Monday.


In the 5th incident, Rajan, 50, of Venkittapuram on Thadagam Road and his buddy Moorthy, 40, of Neelambur, lost their lives in an twist of fate on Trichy Road at Karaiyampalayam Pirivu on Sunday evening. Rajan used to be using a motorbike and Moorthy used to be using pillion. A car hit the bike.Rajan died on the spot and Moorthy died without responding to the remedy at CMCH on Monday.


In the sixth incident, Arumugam, 19 and Simson, 18, both hailing from Mettur near Podanur, were killed in an bike twist of fate on Kuniyamuthur-Machampalayam Road on Sunday evening. “Arumugam used to be using the bike. He lost control on the vehicle, which fell into a pit. Both of them were despatched to CMCH, where Arumugam died without responding to remedy. Simson died on Monday,” an officer stated.
