MEERUT: The major accused within the Bulandshahr violence and Bajrang Dal chief Yogesh Raj was arrested on Wednesday night. Mob violence within the district on December three after cow carcasses were discovered within the nearby box had ended in the killing of native police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh.
ADG police, Meerut zone, Prashant Kumar instructed TOI, "Bulandshahr police arrested Yogesh at 11.45pm on Wednesday after a tip-off that he was moving from Khurja to Bulandshahr city. He is being questioned."

Yogesh is the top accused within the December three violence that erupted after alleged cow slaughter in a village close to Chingravati police post below Siyana police station.
Police heaved a sigh of relief after this arrest as it was dealing with heavy complaint for allegedly adopting a casual attitude in arresting the right-wing chief who in conjunction with every other absconding accused and BJP early life wing chief Shikhar Agarwal claimed their innocence by uploading videos on social media.
Yogesh Raj's arrest got here an afternoon after the police arrested every other top accused Kalua within the case. Kalua was arrested from the town's bus stand and later confessed that he attacked the inspector with an awl.
On December 27, police had arrested Prashant Nat, who allegedly shot the inspector useless after the awl assault.
Five people were arrested on December 18 for their alleged roles within the mob violence.
The clash between police and mob resulted within the large-scale arson and homicide of SHO Siyana and local early life. In all, 32 individuals accused within the violence had already been arrested until Wednesday afternoon.
An FIR against 27 named people and 50-60 unidentified people was registered at the Siyana police station for the violence at the Chingrawathi police post.
