Dalits to lay claim to Surat’s Lord Hanuman temple

Addressing an election assembly in Alwar district of Rajasthan on November 28, Yogi Adityanath stated, “Bajrangbali was a tribal, a wooded area dweller, a Dalit and was deprived. He worked to attach all Indian communities from north to south and east to west.”


Samast Dalit Samaj chief Suresh Sonavane advised TOI, “Dalits in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh have reacted via making an attempt to take ownership of the Hanuman temples after Yogi’s remarks. The Dalit samaj in the city too desires to lay its declare to Hanuman temple in Navsari Bazaar. Yogiji is a sadhu sant and we're glad that he believes in Varna vyastha.”


The Dalit leaders will offer floral tributes at the statue of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar on Ring Road on January 7 and then move towards Kshetrapad Hanuman Dada Temple.


Sonavane stated the Dalit samaj had given an ultimatum to district collector closing week handy over the control of Kshetrapad Hanuman Dada Temple to the neighborhood inside of seven days. However, the administration has failed to take vital motion, he stated, adding that they're going to be taking along with them a Dalit priest to accomplish puja at the temple.
