VADODARA: The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) trapped a talati while accepting a bribe of Rs 500 in Mahisagar district on Friday. ACB sleuths had laid a trap when they received a complaint that talati Kailash Pargi had demanded the bribe. According to the complainant, his neighbour sought after to have the talati’s stamp and signature on expenses beneath a national rural scheme.
Pargi demanded Rs 500 for signing the bill and every other Rs 500 after it will get passed. The applicant, however, didn’t want to pay the bribe and approached ACB in Lunavada and registered a complaint. The ACB then laid a trap for Pargi who has been arrested by way of H B Gameti, police inspector.
