Danish man searches for his roots in Coimbatore

COIMBATORE: An Indian adoptee from Denmark, arrived within the city earlier this week, on the lookout for his roots. The man, now 42-year-old, has documents showing that he used to be born in a village referred to as Linganur, in Thondamuthur, but used to be given up for adoption when he used to be around 30-month-old. He has come to Coimbatore hoping to seek out his folks, or no less than some of his family members.

Casper Anderson, who used to be followed by means of a Danish couple thru an adoption company in Denmark, used to be by no means officially advised by means of his folks that he used to be followed.

“Well it used to be an inter-country adoption. I clearly look other from my folks who look Scandinavian,” says Anderson. “While I have been curious how my organic folks seem like since my adolescence, I began talking to my folks about it for the past few years best. They didn't thoughts me trying to find my organic folks,” he added.

Anderson, who is a graphic clothier in Aalborg, then requested his folks for his adoption papers and contacted the adoption company in Denmark. “The Denmark adoption company gave me the courtroom documents, a adolescence picture of me that they had and a picture of me within the Coimbatore children’s house that I used to be handed over to,” said Anderson.

“With those documents I arrived in India in 2015 to look for my organic folks and now again I’m doing the same with the help of Netherlands-based activists, Anjali Pawar and Arun Dohle, and founder of centre for social training and building, C Nambi,” he said.


The courtroom documents showed that Casper Anderson used to be named Rajkumar by means of his folks, Ayyavoo, son of Thavasi, and Saraswathi. “Ayyavoo used to be handed over to the Blue Mountain Children’s Home in 1978. The reason given within the courtroom documents used to be that the father of the kid suffered a paralytic attack and because his spouse had left him, he used to be unable to handle his son,” said Pawar.


Anderson and the activists visited Linganur in Thondamuthur, best to seek out the name of the village changed to Karparan Koil Road. “In the village and within the cope with submitted, many of us remember Ayyavoo and best his mother, who used to paintings as a coolie. However, the mother and son reportedly offered their land and left the village. Now no person knows the place they went and whether they are still alive.
