Digging works near Coco beach under lens

SALIGAO: The lawyer of Nerul comunidade has dropped at the notice of the north Goa comunidade administrator of unlawful digging works being undertaken in the institution’s property close to the Coco seaside.
The digging work is being undertaken by way of some unknown persons, it sounds as if for building of toilets and laying of electrical energy poles.

The lawyer has also forwarded the copies of complaint to the Porvorim police inspector, mamlatdar of Bardez, electrical energy department officers besides the CRZ authorities.

In her complaint, lawyer Romana Cordo pointed out the illegalities being resorted to in the comunidade property bearing survey numbers 120/1 and 110/9.

She said that huge pits are being dug up and sand is excavated from the seaside stretch to build toilets, changing rooms and a top mast.

Cordo said the comunidade has no longer issued any NOC for such works and a case is pending sooner than the mamlatdar.

“Despite the topic being sub-judice, illegalities are taking form right here,” she said.


When TOI contacted the ward member, he said he was once unaware concerning the said illegalities.


Deputy sarpanch of Nerul village panchayat Sandeep Hoble said that motion might be initiated towards the unknown persons.


“We will check out the web page and issue forestall orders towards the ones endeavor the digging works,” Hoble knowledgeable.
