Dharwad: Haryana emerged because the champions on the 64th National Under-14 Girls’ Kabaddi Tournament which concluded on the Police Grounds right here on Sunday. They trounced Uttar Pradesh 48-19.
Haryana ruled all of the departments proper from the start and led 22-12 at part time. They went all out in the second one part and progressed their tally through scoring any other 26 points. Unable to counter-attack, Uttar Pradesh scored simply 7 points. Haryana had overwhelmed Delhi 15-13 to go into the final.
For the third place, Delhi held their nerves to beat Chhattisgarh 27-16.
UP’s Simran Tiwari was adjudged the Best Raider, Delhi’s Manisha the Best Catcher and Haryana’s Jyoti the Best All-rounder trophy. Karnataka emerged because the Best Team of the tournament.
As many as 310 girls from 26 states participated within the tournament.
