DHAKA: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has stated that she would be the "premier of all" Bangladeshis and her executive's first precedence can be to continue the industrial reforms.
Prime Minister Hasina's Awami League and its allies won a landslide victory within the general elections on Sunday, bagging 288 of the full 299 seats which went to the polls.
Hasina stated she would discharge her duty because the "premier of all" during her upcoming five-year tenure, the Dhaka Tribune reported.
She stated the concern of the new executive will probably be to complete the programmes that experience already been undertaken.
"We have okayed different projects, we have to work on them. Now, the most important thing is to ensure the safety and security of our people," she stated.
Hasina stated the primary precedence can be to continue the industrial activities so that people may have a greater existence.
She stated her party does not consider within the politics of revenge.
"Rather, Awami League works for the development of people considering them as human being once it gets elected," she stated.
Hasina also brushed apart the Opposition's allegation of vote rigging, pronouncing "if there had been any allegation, the Election Commission would have cancelled voting in the centre immediately".
She stated one or two incidents of irregularities out of the full 40,000 vote casting centres did not make the whole election unfair.
"They [people] wanted continuity of the government, development for which they overwhelmingly voted for us," she stated.
At least 18 people, including a member of a security company, had been killed and greater than 200 others injured in poll-related violence, making it probably the most deadliest polls within the country.
