COIMBATORE: Around three,000 farmers from around the state can be skilled in natural farming at a nine-day tournament at SRM Medical College, Trichy, from February 2.
Padma Shri Subhash Palekar, pioneer of zero finances farming concept, would teach the farmers on natural farming, its advantages, preparation and intercrop cultivation. The coaching is arranged through Isha Agro Movement to equip farmers to make winning incomes from natural ssfarming.
“Across India, round 50 lakh farmers are training natural farming which has progressed their livelihood. Compared to the market fee of products produced thru chemical farming, the products produced thru natural farming fetch better prices. Yield is greater and manufacturing price is less. This would fortify the farmers in making just right benefit,” Subhash Palekar advised newshounds in the town on Friday.
