NEW DELHI: Talismanic Indian skipper Virat Kohli has achieved what no earlier Indian captain could - a Test series win in opposition to Australia in Australia. After the ancient win, Kohli posted a special message praising the Indian team.
Kohli took to Twitter and wrote: “So proud to be part of this team, great feeling! This is not only a team it is a circle of relatives. Onwards and upwards from here on. @BCCI.”
Kohli's wife, actor Anushka Sharma used to be spotted at the box after India's ancient win, because the families of the Indian cricketers came down from the stands to congratulate the victorious team. Anushka later also tweeted about India's ancient series win
It is the primary time India have controlled the feat since they started traveling Australia in 1947-48, 71 years in the past.
India received the primary Test at Adelaide via 31 runs and the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne via 137 runs. Australia had received the second check in Perth via 146 runs.
It used to be also the primary time ever Australia have long gone via a four-Test home series with out a single batsman scoring a century.
