Locals suspect foul play in Chimbel fire

PANAJI: Trees and plants on a steep slope at the Kadamba plateau, categorized as a no construction zone, had been set on hearth by unknown persons on Monday morning. Chimbel villagers, alarmed by the raging hearth, knowledgeable the fire products and services, Old Goa police and govt officers. The villagers fear that the fire is also a part of a clandestine plan to broaden the no construction zone area.

The hearth used to be discovered blazing close to Sai Baba Mandir on one facet of the Panaji-Old Goa bypass.
