Maha: Nilgai injured while straying into village

Thane: An injured sub-adult feminine Nilgai or blue bull that stumbled into the human habitat in Shahapur's Lahe village, was once rescued via the flora and fauna rescuers from the NGO Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW) and the wooded area division on Tuesday. Around midday, officials from the wooded area division gained a decision from some locals in regards to the animal that was once limping about near the defunct petrol pump in the area.

The wooded area officials immediately rushed to the spot and referred to as RAWW for their assistance in the rescue.

“The locals saw the Nilgai in the morning but concept it was once a cow. As human task higher later around midday, the animal started getting aggressiveand working about. It was once then that they realised that it was once a wild animal and referred to as the officials,” stated Pawan Sharma, Thane's honorary flora and fauna warden and founding father of RAWW.
