Mangaluru: Min temp drops to 17 degrees Celsius

MANGALURU: A day after the New Year, chilly weather prerequisites prevailed in Mangaluru with mercury falling to 17 levels celsius on Wednesday.

The coldest day in the coastal area was recorded 26 years ago at 15.6 levels Celsius on January eight, 1992, which nonetheless stands because the lowest.


Wednesday’s minimal is a 4 degree Celsius departure from the common minimal temperature recorded for the month, and is the second-lowest in a decade with January 12, 2015 recording 16.9 levels Celsius. The Mangaluru airport space recorded 18.9 levels Celsius as minimal temperature.


Meanwhile, with clear skies, the utmost temperatures are hiking and on Wednesday, it was 36 levels Celsius, about 3 levels Celsius higher than the common most for the month.


Karwar and Honnavar, alongside the coast, had been also recorded lower temperatures than the common minimal.


Karwar recorded 16.five levels Celsius while Honanvar recorded 19.2 levels Celsius.
