VADODARA: The detection of crime department (DCB) arrested a military naib subedar on Friday underneath the Prohibition Act.
Crime department sleuths said that Arunjyoti Vishwas used to be wanted in the case after the police arrested two bootleggers some days ago.
Police had arrested Shubhankar Vishwas and Mukesh Sarkar, each residents of Khodiyarnagar for stocking liquor at their house.
As many as 203 branded Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) bottles worth Rs 36,500 had been seized from their space.
The duo had got the stock from Vishwas who stays in the EME. Police began search for Vishwas who had gone lacking after the duo’s arrest.
On Friday, the crime department gained knowledge that Vishwas has visited his place of dwelling following which he used to be nabbed.
Crime department sleuths said that they are going to question the accused in regards to the stock that he had given to the bootleggers.
