Dharwad: Writers Ok S Nissar Ahmed and Siddalinga Pattanashetti had been decided on for the Dr Da Ra Bendre National Memorial Trust’s Ambikatanayadatta National Award for 2018.
The award carries Rs 1 lakh and citation, mentioned chairman of the Trust D M Hiremath. The cash component of the award shall be shared by the 2 writers.
Poet Doddarange Gowda will provide the award at Bendre Bhavan, Sadhanakeri, Dharwad at 5.30pm on January 31, which happens to be the 124th delivery anniversary of the Jnanpith awardee poet laureate Da Ra Bendre.

Rajshekhar Mathapati, member of Sahitya Akademi, will overview the works of Nissar, whilst former vice-chancellor Iqbal Ahmad will overview works of Pattanashetti.
