NEW DELHI: Delhiites travelling during the central a part of the town on Monday should brace for detours and diversions as traffic restrictions will probably be imposed due to rehearsal of the Beating Retreat ceremony, police mentioned. Vijay Chowk will stay closed for general traffic from three.30pm to nine.30pm on Monday, Alok Kumar, Joint CP (traffic), mentioned.
He mentioned movement of automobiles on parts of Rafi Marg, Raisina Road, Krishna Menon Marg, 'C' Hexagon and Dara Shikoh Road will also be limited.
Parking will probably be to be had for the ones coming to look the lighting in the back of the water channels between Rafi Marg and 'C' Hexagon after 7pm, the officer mentioned.
Traffic police have organized for buses to avoid taking the 'C' Hexagon and a few within sight roads from afternoon till evening.
According to traffic police, roads to be have shyed away from include Akbar Road, Ashoka Road, Tilak Marg, KG Marg, Prithvi Raj Road, Mathura Road, Shahjahan Road, Sher Shah Suri Marg, Bhairon Marg, Purana Qila Road and Subramania Bharti Marg.
