SURAT: Police arrested Indira Khedekar, 40, surgeon and assistant professor at Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER), for her alleged involvement in a clinical racket that got here to mild in May 2018. Gargi Das, 39, a tutor in tool coaching institute at Mumbai, was also arrested for her involvement in the racket. They had been released on bail after their arrest via crime department officials on Friday.

Das allegedly won the cost of insurance money in her bank account in Mumbai. Gautam Shahu, suspected to be the mastermind of the racket, is yet to be arrested.


The racket got here to mild when Mehul Shah contacted the insurance agency saying that he had not claimed repayment of Rs76,956 under his mediclaim insurance coverage.
