Three arrested for attack on Alwar cow ‘smuggler’

ALWAR: A day after 23-year-old Sagir Khan used to be beaten via a mob for alleged cow smuggling at Bagheri Khurd village beneath Kishangarh Bas police station house in Alwar, the police arrested three individuals on charges of demanding peace. Khan’s situation deteriorated on Monday night and he used to be admitted to SMS Hospital in Jaipur past due at night time.


Police have registered two FIRs—one towards those that thrashed Khan and any other towards Khan for smuggling cows—in the incident. Khan, a resident of Mirzapur in Alwar district, used to be present process remedy at Rajiv Gandhi District Hospital in Alwar after the mob attack.


“His haemoglobin stage dropped from nine to 7.7 and blood pressure used to be low. Though the CT scan used to be standard, apparently that he has some inside harm. So, he used to be referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur,” said Dr B L Mehwal of the government medical institution in Alwar.


Police had registered an FIR for thrashing Khan and any other towards him beneath quite a lot of sections of the Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, 1995, for illegally transporting bovines.


“We have arrested three individuals up to now for demanding peace and initiated an investigation towards them beneath sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily inflicting harm), 324 (voluntarily inflicting harm with unhealthy weapon) and 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) of the IPC. We are waiting for the medico-legal report of the victim to find out if we wish to add more sections towards the arrested accused,” said Alwar superintendent of police Rajendra Singh to TOI.
