NALANDA/PATNA: Two people, including a 14-year-old boy, had been thrashed to death at Maghra underneath the Deep Nagar police station house in Bihar’s Nalanda district on Wednesday as they had been suspected to be concerned in the murder of native RJD chief Indal Paswan (40), police resources mentioned. Paswan’s bullet-riddled frame was found in the village in the morning.
“The two overwhelmed to death had been recognized as Ranjan Yadav (14) and Santu Malakaar (40),” Nalanda SP Sudhir Kumar Podika instructed TOI over telephone. Indal was shot lifeless while returning house on his motorbike from a relative’s space after attending ‘shraadh’ on Tuesday evening. The SP mentioned no empty cartridges had been recovered from the spot.
“The irate villagers thrashed Ranjan and Santu with bricks and sticks killing Ranjan at the spot. Santu was rushed to PMCH where he succumbed to his injuries,” the SP mentioned, including the home items inside of their homes had been also set ablaze.
The SP mentioned the placement was underneath keep watch over and police personnel had been deployed to take care of legislation and order.
This was the second incident of mob violence underneath the same police station house within 12 hours after assistant sub-inspector of police Akhilesh Singh was shot at in Mahanand village on Tuesday evening. Singh, together with a police group, had visited the village on details about firing between two teams of people from Paswan and Yadav communities.
