CHENNAI: An afternoon after a five-year-old boy used to be kidnapped close to a Tasmac shop in Kancheepuram after which rescued, police arrested a 40-year-old construction worker in reference to the case.
Police known the man as Marimuthu, of Trichy, who worked at a construction web site at Oragadam.
On Wednesday, Guruprasad had taken his son Kumaraguru to the Tasmac shop and had requested him to attend outdoor. But he handed out leaving behind the boy. When Guruprasad aroused from sleep in the night time, he discovered his son lacking. After looking for him, he lodged a police grievance.
Police discovered CCTV camera footage wherein the boy used to be observed being taken by means of a person in white dhoti. Police received details about the kid being saved at a space in Thirumullaivoyal and rescued him. Investigations revealed that Marimuthu saw the boy status close to the shop. After watching him for a couple of minutes and ensuring that no person used to be round, he lured Kumaraguru with a chocolate and promised to take him to his mother.
Police stated Marimuthu took the kid to his residence where neighbours grew suspicious and questioned him. He informed them that Kumaraguru used to be a relative’s son, but since they alerted his family members who reside in Tiruvannamalai, Marimuthu escaped leaving the kid behind. Police arrested him from a bus prevent within reach.
“Marimuthu determined to bring up the kid since he lived on my own,” stated an investigating officer.
