1,300 to participate in K K Vithani Football Tournament

Vadodara: Over 1300 youngsters from around the state will participate in the Ok Ok Vithani Memorial All Gujarat Invitation Football Tournament that started in the town from Thursday. The four-day event arranged by Baroda Football Academy (BFA) focusses on growing football at grassroot ranges a few of the children.

The event arranged in categories of Under-Nine, Under-11, Under-13, Under -15 (boys) and girls (open) is performed on knock-out foundation at BFA sports advanced in Gotri. A complete of 124 teams from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Anand, Chhota Udepur, Dahod, Valsad, Godhra, Surat and Banaskantha will vie for the trophy.


“We prepare this event to promote football among children and increase the sport at grassroots degree. Young and aspiring footballers interact in a quality contest during this event that also is performed below floodlights,” said Sandip Desai who runs BFA. The academy makes all of the arrangements for the avid gamers collaborating in the event.


“BFA targets to achieve out to most children who need a platform to show off their skill and in addition compete at higher degree in the recreation,” Desai added.
