60 Brahminy ducks found dead in Jhagadia

SURAT: At least sixty Ruddy Shelduck, often known as Brahminy geese, have been found lifeless beneath mysterious circumstances between Ladva Vad to Pora village in Bharuch’s Jhagadia taluka on Wednesday.

Forest department officers stated that over the geese have been found from two separate spots from close to the waterbodies positioned within the village. Villagers noticed the lifeless birds and knowledgeable the dept.


Talking to TOI, vary woodland officer (RFO), Jhagadia, Vijay Tadvi stated, “Brahminy geese migrate to India from the north all the way through the iciness. We have despatched the birds to the forensic science laboratory (FLS) at Surat for additional investigation and know the precise cause of death.”


Tadvi added, “There have been different duck species and migratory within the water bodies, but handiest Brahminy geese have been found lifeless.”
