Alok Nath accused in #MeToo: Madhuri reacts

Actor Madhuri Dixit stated she used to be surprised to read names of Alok Nath and filmmaker Soumik Sen, other folks she has previously worked with, in the #MeToo motion as she used to be no longer aware about this aspect in their personalities. In the #MeToo motion, which hit Bollywood in August ultimate 12 months, Nath used to be accused of rape by way of writer-director Vinta Nanda. Sen, who directed Madhuri in 'Gulaab Gang', has been accused of inappropriate behaviour by way of three girls.

When requested if it used to be heart-breaking for her to peer their names in the #MeToo motion, Madhuri stated, "It is always shocking. Because you've known them and you've not known them like that."

"It is always shocking when something like that comes out. What you've known them and what you're reading is two different people. It was so shocking."

The actor is lately gearing up for her upcoming comedy, 'Total Dhamaal'.

Post which, she could be seen in Karan Johar's manufacturing 'Kalank', which features an ensemble forged of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur.

Originally, Sridevi used to be intended to do the movie, prior to she passed away in February ultimate 12 months. The position sooner or later went to Madhuri.


The 51-year-old actor stated she took time to "digest" that Sridevi used to be not more.


"What took time used to be to digest the whole thing that had came about. It used to be so shocking, I used to be like 'you want me to do that position?' as a result of even they were stuck. They had to move on.


"As a person it used to be onerous to deal. As an actor, you realize the position, the script. It's a distinct subject altogether. But to just accept the reality used to be very tough," she added.


Directed by way of Indra Kumar, 'Total Dhamaal', features Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Johnny Lever, Boman Irani, Sanjay Mishra among others. It is scheduled to release on February 22.
