Burnt body case: Murder not suicide

AMBALA: In a twist to the suspected suicide case of Naman Joshi (29), a resident of Sector 4 in Naraingarh, police on Saturday added murder, kidnapping, and destruction of proof charges to the FIR filed on Wednesday.


Earlier, at the grievance of Naman’s father Dinesh Joshi, police had registered a case of wrongful confinement after he had long gone lacking on Tuesday at round 4.30pm. On Wednesday night time, an unidentified charred lifeless body, at the side of a two-wheeler, was recovered in the back of a bus stand workshop in jungle space of Naraingarh.


The body was in any such dangerous situation that it could now not be identified. Naman’s father advised TOI, “Initially the body was now not recognisable, however all the way through the autopsy in Mullana I was known as through the police and I managed to identify the body from the mole on his forehead, from his face, and from a bangle recovered at spot. We cremated his body on Friday. We call for a good probe into this situation and culprits should be dropped at e book.”


“I'm a retired bank legitimate and we don't have any enmity with anybody. My son were given married just about two years back and he has a son too. Nearly a month ago, my son and his spouse had been separated and then he used to stay irritating,” he added.


Naraingarh DSP Amit Kumar Bhatia advised TOI, “Initially, we suspected it to be a case of suicide however the initial clinical document (PMR) signifies he was murdered. We are investigating the matter from each the angles.”
