Dumped in cloth sack, newborn girl rescued in Lko

LUCKNOW: A newborn woman used to be present in a fabric cradle hanging from a tree in a field in Amber Kheda locality under Maal police station on Thursday morning.

Around 9am, constable Mukesh Malik, house guard Rakesh Tiwari and motive force Shashi Verma on board a UP-100 vehicle heard a toddler cry. Following the sound, they approached the tree where they found the newborn woman. The toddler used to be wrapped in a multi-coloured fabric and shivering with cold.

They rushed her to the neighborhood health centre in Maal.

SP rural Vikrant Vir said medical doctors declared her are compatible. She used to be then despatched to Maal police station and Childline used to be knowledgeable. "Since it was a field, there were no CCTV cameras in the area. We are making efforts to trace who left the baby," he added.

Child welfare committee (CWC) member Sangeeta Sharma informed IdealNews that the newborn appears to be two-day previous and used to be later admitted to Jhalkari Bai Child medical institution for further exam.


She used to be declared disease-free and brought to an adoption centre, she added.


This is the 3rd incident prior to now 16 days where a newborn child has been found abandoned.


On January 29, a 10-day-old woman used to be found abandoned near Sachivayala Colony in Mahanagar. On February 6, a newborn boy used to be found inside of a municipal rubbish container in Butler Palace Colony.
