KVs, Navodaya Vidyalayas role models for govt school system in country: Javadekar

NEW DELHI: Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar Thursday hailed Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas as role models for the government college device in India. Addressing the valedictory consultation of KVS-NVS National Principals' Conference, the minister stated "teaching should become a profession of choice but not the last option and that is why we are introducing four-year integrated B.Ed course in the coming academic year".


"Teachers should be passionate about their profession. Teachers are the sculptors of the future of the country", he stated.


The minister also launched the FitKVian app for the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Swasth Bachche -- Swasth Bharat Programme. The app will facilitate the health evaluate for 2.7 lakh kids throughout 1,199 Kendriya Vidyalayas throughout the rustic, taking pictures real-time information.


The app could have interfaces for different stakeholders (KVS HQ, ZIETs, ROs, colleges, folks) and analytics and benchmarking will develop into easy and accurate with this technological intervention.
