Coimbatore: Per week after IdealNews reported that the massive tree plantation force on the Madukkarai block panchayat was once a big failure and now not a unmarried plant was once seen along the stretches of Nachipalayam village panchayat, officers have started tree plantation force in the area. So a long way, 120 saplings had been planted along the roads of Pachampalayam and Mookarai villages.

According to an RTI reply obtained by activist Daniel Jesudas, saplings worth Rs 1.44 crore have been planted in Madukarai block during 2015-16 and 2016-17 below a large tree plantation scheme. While villagers stated they have been saddened to see that now not a unmarried tree has survived, officers blamed it on water shortage.

Based on IdealNews file, District Rural Development Agencies (DRDA) project officers inspected the villages. And the plantation force was once commenced soon.

“Road laying works had been happening in the villages below the National Rurban Mission. The staff, who're concerned with highway laying, have cleared roadsides, dug small pits and planted the saplings,” stated a block-level panchayat respectable.

The respectable stated a non-public college has come ahead to sponsor the saplings and they're expecting them to reach in a couple of days.


Another panchayat respectable stated that they had stopped the plantation force in 2017 because of drought-like scenario and spent handiest Rs 2.46 lakh out of the sanctioned Rs nine.60 lakh for planting saplings from Nachipalayam PCF Road till Kaduvarai Thottam.


“We have known and recovered 60 vegetation, which we had planted two years in the past, with the assistance of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) staff. They have been lined bushes in the absence of proper repairs,” the respectable stated.


Now, they've cleared all the bushes and secured the vegetation with tree guards.
