New masterplan for Hyderabad in three months

HYDERABAD: Considering the indiscriminate changes in the current Hyderabad materplan, particularly exchange of land use which is leading to haphazard expansion of town, the state government has decided to discourage any changes as soon as a new complete grasp plan is approved. To this impact, leader minister Ok Chandrasekhar Rao requested officers of municipal administration division to attract up a new masterplan for Hyderabad metropolitan area inside of 3 months.

The leader minister has directed the officers to amend the HMDA Act during which cupboard approval is required to make any changes in the masterplan like land use or roads amongst others. Change of land use is required when a builder or developer desires to utilise the land for a different objective from what it was initially earmarked for, like agriculture land use to residential or commercial or commercial use to commercial.



The leader minister held a assessment assembly on complete masterplan for Hyderabad Metropolitan Region with officers and stated the plan should be useful in converting Hyderabad into a global town. He stated that the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) can be given the task to prepare the plan in consultation with nationwide and international mavens and stay town’s needs in view .


The implementation of the plan can be given to another authority. “Instead of depending on a small body like HMDA for implementation of the grasp plan, a larger body consisting of mavens drawn from various fields akin to sewerage, consuming water, power lines, site visitors, surroundings can be empowered. Funds will probably be mobilised from various sources and not simply rely on GHMC funds,” the manager minister stated.


The CM wanted the grasp plan to spot current issues touching on water, power, infrastructure and other necessities. The plan should also stay in view long term needs and find answers whilst also growing counter measures. “There has been large-scale migration from various portions of the state and country in search of livelihood and other purposes as the climatic conditions of town are very good. Unfortunately, town has not evolved in track with the increasing population’s needs and lifestyles in the town turns into depressing” stated the manager minister.


On the greenery entrance, the CM stated there was a want to increase inexperienced duvet in the Hyderabad metropolitan space. Green zones are being shown as agriculture zones and several other tracts of land had been handled as open spaces and exploited for commercial objective. This is leading to increasing pollution levels. The CM also directed the officers to shift polluting industries outdoor town. Officials had been advised to increase 1.50 lakh acres of forest blocks in and round Hyderabad.


KCR introduced that the foundation for the proposed reservoir at Keshavapur for supply of consuming water to the Hyderabad town will probably be laid this month.
