Passenger trying to smuggle dollars in underwear nabbed

MANGALURU: Personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Thursday nabbed an air passenger headed for Dubai for surreptitiously looking to sneak $10,000 in his undergarments at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA). Hemendra Singh, assistant inspector common, public family members officer, CISF, in a communication, named the passenger as Abdul Hameed Kodiyama, who used to be to commute to Dubai by Air India Express flight IX-813.

The incident came to light when CISF sub-inspector Rakesh Kumar Mahawar spotted a suspicious merchandise hid underneath the clothes of Abdul Hameed at eight.10am right through pre-embarkation security test at the world security hang space of MIA. The CISF who took Hameed to a separate place for a radical search, recovered two bundles of US bucks consisting of $five,000 each and every, from his possession.


The CISF group of workers handed over the passenger together with the recovered foreign currencies ($10,000 value approximately Rs 7 lakh) to customs. Sources aware of the restoration of the USA Dollars, who weren't prepared to be named, instructed IdealNews that the senior CISF officers have announced a money award of Rs 2,000 to Rakesh Kumar, and the officer is eligible to get a reward from the customs as neatly.
