Preserve Warli art, says principal

Mangaluru: “The Warli tribe are indigenous people who need strengthen. They are dropping their artwork and tradition. We will have to preserve the artwork and tradition of any such community via instructing folks at the same,’’ stated Praveen Martis, predominant, St Aloysius College, here on Saturday.

He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the first edition of Aloysian Literature Festival (ALF). The fest was organised by way of the dep. of postgraduate studies and research in English, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru. This year’s pageant is envisaged with a clear thematic fear this is conservation of ecology. The inauguration started with an audio/ video representation showcasing the significance of preserving the habitat of the Warli tribe.


Martis suggested the young era to spread consciousness to preserve the wealthy artwork and tradition of our nation.


Rev Dionysius Vaz, rector of St Aloysius Institutions, stated that because of the unplanned and the shortsighted economic enlargement, ecological diversity and the deficient will endure so much. He quoted that when we are nearer to nature, we're with reference to God. Hence, preserve the nature, tradition and artwork, which is the real wealth of our nation.
