ALLAHABAD/GORAKHPUR: A day after violent protests by way of Samajwadi Party, FIRs were lodged on Wednesday in opposition to two party MPs and several other others in Allahabad and Deoria.
The protests had erupted after party chief Akhilesh Yadav was stopped in Lucknow from boarding a flight to Allahabad for attending a function organised by way of the Allahabad University Students Union on Tuesday. Several persons together with policemen were injured within the violence.
Allahabad police mentioned a named FIR were lodged in opposition to 46 SP members, together with party Badaun MP Dharmendra Yadav and Phulpur MP Nagendra Singh Patel.
Along with them, SP state president Naresh Uttam, AUSU president Uday Prakash Yadav, SP spokesperson and previous president of AUSU Richa Singh, Abhishek Yadav, Avnish Yadav, Adil Hamza, Ajeet Yadav alias Vidhayak and several other others had been named within the FIR which also mentions around 250 unidentified protesters.
The FIR was lodged on a criticism moved by way of Inspector Colonelganj Satyendra Singh, who was injured within the protests at Balson crossing.
SSP Allahabad Nitin Tiwari mentioned two student leaders had been arrested.
Similarly, an FIR was lodged in Deoria in opposition to SP leader Ram Iqbal Yadav and 150 unidentified SP workers.
