RAJKOT: Three together with a minor were arrested on Saturday for attempting to extort Rs 50 lakh from a manufacturing facility owner in Jetpur of Rajkot district.
The accused were recognized as Kapil Nimavat alias Tino, Riyaz Rafai alias Bongo and their minor accomplice. They had tried to extort Jayesh Usadadia (41).
“In his complaint, Usadadia has alleged that the trio had referred to as him up on his cell phone, hurled abuses at him and threatened to kill him, if he didn't cough up Rs one crore.
