Two electrocuted during idol immersion procession in Ballia

Varanasi: Two youths have been electrocuted whilst over 10 others suffered burn injuries when a tractor came in touch with prime tension twine right through Saraswati idol immersion procession close to Purvi Bhavan Tola village under Bairiya police station of Ballia district on Wednesday.

DIG Azamgarh range Vijay Bhushan showed the demise of two youths within the incident and said that every one injured have been rushed to clinic for treatment with the help of native citizens.


After the end of Saraswati Puja birthday party in Purvi Bhavan Tola village the villagers performed immerssion procession on tractor trolley. They had tied loudspeakers with the help of steel rods to play track right through the procession. While heading in opposition to banks of the Ganga, the steel rods came in touch with prime tension twine.


While Mayank Singh (18) and Chhotu Kumar Singh (20) died at the spot, different youths including Chandan Singh (18), Krishna (17), Golu Singh (18), Anand Singh (22) and Rajnish Singh (20) suffered severe burn injuries. All the apparatus and articles at the tractor have been gutted.


The Bairiya police and locals rushed the injured to an area clinic from the place they have been referred to district clinic. Following a sharp deterioration within the condition of Rajnish the doctors referred him to Trauma Centre of BHU.
