Vistara Chennai-Kolkata flight suffers engine snag

NEW DELHI: A Vistara aircraft operating from Chennai to Kolkata on Monday reportedly suffered an inflight engine failure all the way through descend while drawing near its vacation spot. The twin-engine aircraft can land safely on one engine and this Vistara Airbus A320 additionally did so in Kolkata. The airplane (VT-TTF) is now grounded there.


According to resources, UK-733 with nearly 130 other folks on board had an engine failure all the way through descent at 17,000 toes.


A Vistara spokesperson stated: "We confirm that our flight UK 733 operating Chennai-Kolkata (Monday) experienced a technical malfunction in the right engine during descent. The pilots carried out the necessary procedures and proceeded to land safely at Kolkata International Airport."

Vistara places the safety of its shoppers and group as its top-most priority and does now not compromise on any aspect of it. The aircraft is recently undergoing inspections and rectification process to handle the problem,” the spokesperson added.
