Mangaluru: A photograph of a woman police officer delivering a rose to 2 young motorbike riders urging them to wear helmets and observe site visitors rules has long gone viral on social media.

Sowmya, sub-inspector at Punjalkatte police station beneath the Dakshina Kannada district police, is the officer who has hogged the limelight with the photograph. The two youths, who're observed seated on a motorcycle on the highway with out dressed in helmets, can be found putting down their heads in disgrace. The incident came about at Madanthyar on Thursday.


Speaking with TOI, Sowmya said it is not her, but her kids who handed over roses to these using with out helmets. “The high-quality for now not dressed in helmets is just Rs 100. As a outcome, riders are incessantly observed violating this rule now not because they do not own a helmet, but because they do not wish to wear it.
