Ludhiana: Two wagons of a educate ferrying items were given derailed on Friday afternoon on the Dhandari Kalan railway station, but no casualties have been reported. The educate was headed against the unloading phase of the station.
Officials claimed that the coincidence didn’t disrupt the rail site visitors at the direction. However, the incident has raised eyebrows against the lax way of railway authorities in the management of trains.
The rail site visitors division officers stated that once the products educate derailed, an alarm was raised through the safety officers and the mechanical division officers reached the spot for quick redressal. The derailment was the result of a technical fault, an official stated.
Railway site visitors inspector RK Sharma stated, “Two wagons of a items educate were given derailed when the educate was coming against the unloading phase. No casualty was reported in the coincidence. The work on bringing the engine back on track is in process.”
