GURUGRAM: In the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for May 12, the Aam Admi Party (AAP) has shortlisted 10 candidates for the Gurugram seat, celebration assets said. AAP had fielded Yogendra Yadav from the seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. But since Yadav is no longer with the celebration, it wishes a new face to constitute the seat.
AAP’s district head Sudhir Yadav said while four shortlisted candidates are celebration cadres, six are from outside the celebration. “Most of them are political candidates who have fought from other events prior to now and at the moment are involved in preventing with the AAP image,” he said. He added that probably the most candidates are from Mewat and Rewari. Local AAP leaders, together with Mahesh Yadav and R S Rathee, would not be contesting this time, as they are gearing up for the Assembly elections scheduled later this yr. Sources said AAP has received over 200 programs for the 10 seats across the state.
The final record of candidates might be introduced in a couple of weeks as soon as the celebration takes a last resolution when it comes to the continued alliance talks with the JJP and the Congress. AAP has been in talks with the JJP for some time and state leader Naveen Jaihind had recently said a last resolution on alliance could be taken around Holi. Sources said even though the alliance talks undergo, AAP is likely to get the Gurugram seat, because the celebration has make stronger from the city electorate, compared to the JJP, which is more potent in rural Haryana.
According to assets, JJP has been difficult six seats in the state, this means that AAP must be content material with just four.
