VADODARA: Nearly 18 12 months after he was once booked in a dishonest case, the detection of crime department (DCB) arrested the accused from Mumbai. Sixty-three-year-old Nirmal Shah was once arrested by means of the crime department who had received information about him a couple of days ago.
According to the police, Shah had began a firm in Mumbai in 2000. Parag Patel, who ran Baroda Construction and Engineering Private Ltd, met Shah for mortgaging property and get mortgage. Patel was once promised a mortgage of Rs 2.51 crore and he even paid Rs eight.25 lakh legal fees. But Patel didn’t get the mortgage following which he started not easy his money back from Shah.
Shah was once at the run since then and the police have been looking for him. “We had been carrying out a different pressure to track down the absconding accused. We recently learnt that Shah’s whereabouts in Mumbai following which we arrested him. He has been passed over to the J P Road police for further investigations,” said Jaydeepsinh Jadeja, DCP (crime).
