CHENNAI: Chennai gained its first bout of summer season rain on Thursday morning. The Met department said that Nungambakkam recorded 4mm rain while the suburbs gained 2.8mm.
Rain brought about waterlogging on some roads, together with carrier lane on Marina Beach.
The rain had an impact at the day temperature at noon which was once 31 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday and Tuesday, the temperature was once around 33 degrees Celsius.
Met officials said the rain was once brought about by means of convective task induced by means of high temperature in the previous days.
The sky situation might be in part cloudy for the next 24 hours.
