Cops issue guidelines for smooth traffic flow for India-Aus ODI

RANCHI: City police on Thursday issued traffic guidelines and a course map for spectators heading to catch the third ODI between India and Australia at JSCA stadium in Dhurwa on Friday.

Police have designated four parking spots for vehicles going toward the stadium from districts. “Brahmachari Maidan close to Shakhua Bagan, Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir floor, DAV Public School Dhurwa floor and Prabhat Tara Maidan can be used for parking. However, VVIPs can be allowed to park their vehicles on the stadium campus,” a traffic department professional said on Thursday.

Police said 35 officers of sub-inspector rank and a number of other constables will guard the go out and access issues created on roads resulting in the stadium.

“We have now not created diversions any place on city roads. To facilitate smooth glide of traffic, we've asked our constables and officers to document at their assigned spots via eight.30am,” DSP (traffic) Mahesh Prajapati said.

However, a traffic department notification said roads resulting in the stadium from Tiril Chowk and from Ring Road to Naya Sarai can be reserved for workforce buses, VVIPs and fit officers till the fit is over.
