NEW DELHI: Amid ongoing speculations about an alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress ahead of the impending Lok Sabha polls, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday hit out at Congress and said the foundation of formation of AAP used to be the unhappiness of other folks with the governance of Congress and BJP.
At a public meeting at Rohini, Kejriwal instructed other folks to join the motion introduced by AAP for full statehood for Delhi. Stating that folks continuously ask him why does AAP fight so much with the Centre, he said it used to be as a result of Delhi government used to run even when Sheila Dikshit used to be on the helm.
Kejriwal also addressed a public meeting in Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday.
Stating that folks were not glad all the way through Congress government, Kejriwal said, "The government schools were in bad condition under her (Shiela Dikshit) governance." He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised full statehood for Delhi in 2014 however didn't give it. "You voted for Congress in 2009, they also lied to you on statehood," Kejriwal said.
Claiming that PM Modi used to be not able to maintain Pakistan, Kejriwal advised the PM to deal with Pakistan and let Delhi government maintain Delhi Police. "You are not able to handle Pakistan, how can you be expected to handle Delhi Police?," he requested.
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said full statehood for Delhi would make certain admission to scholars scoring even 60% marks in Delhi's faculties.
