Discos, dhabas not to run after midnight

MOHALI: In wake of the approaching Lok Sabha Elections 2019, district magistrate-cum-deputy commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, has put a ban at the operation of discotheques, dhabas, restaurants, golf equipment and other recreational places after midnight in Mohali. The orders have been issued through the DC on Saturday.


In the attention issued on Saturday, Sapra mentioned that the orders will remain in power until May 10, 2019. The orders also learn that none of the roadside vendors will probably be allowed to perform from midnight to 6am tomorrow.


She added that the house owners will probably be responsible to ensure that there aren't any violations of the NDPS Act on their premises. The non-public safety personnel deployed through the house owners must be informed to not allow any one to carry objectionable substance inside the discotheques. It was once also added that no trade will probably be run without a valid license. She stated, "The customers will not be allowed to enter without identity cards."


Since there was a upward thrust in contemporary instances of breach of safety, Sapra stated house owners must get CCTV cameras put in at entrance and other prominent places.
